Description

As requested, I open a new demand regarding the following bug:
Sometimes, the epgdb file gets corrupted. It prevents Tvheadend from starting. It is perhaps (but I am not sure) related to a problem with XmlTV or to a restart occurring at the bad time.
Tvheadend then constantly restarts and crashes, about every second. Each time, it spawns a XmlTV process (that should probably be checked too).

The only way to get a functional Tvheadend is then to delete the ~/.hts/tvheadend/epgdb file, which is not very user-friendly (this said, I just thought adding such a script to XBMC Advanced Launcher as a temporary workaround!)

Attached are:
  • such an epgdb file (which looks weird)
  • the corresponding syslog showing a dead-end of crashes on May 30 at 21:26:22

It is a major crash regarding the last stable version of Tvheadend and occurring without any faulty usage so I think its priority should be "immediate".
