Tvheadend records all audio streams as broadcast, unless you set a filter or transcode. Kodi then just presents them as tagged in the file - default, whatever else - so you can select. Re: overheating, certainly not for simple recordi...Prof Yaffle
Offering a little more to this from the perspective of a relatively old hand here ... The underlying reason that Christian (and others) stepped in is that the forum went down again, and nobody had any way of bringing it back without c...Prof Yaffle
Maybe not wholly-related, but this is still one of the top hits so it's as good a place as any. It seems, from an IRC conversation, that each new Synology tvheadend package installs into a new directory, and assumes to run under a use...Prof Yaffle
I don't know that Pi3 would fail - but I suspect it would. Transcoding is CPU-intensive, and the 3 is about 150% as fast as a 2 - but I would even try it on a 2, so you'll have to draw your own conclusions. It would probably work for SD ...Prof Yaffle
I would guess that it's related to a minimum API level. 3.4.x is ancient now, isn't supported and quite likely no longer works with the current addon API. You should really consider upgrading to the current stable - 4.0.8, I think, with ...Prof Yaffle
Define "stopped working"? What version of tvh? That's the latest PPA version of both Kodi and the pvr.hts addon, I believe, so both should work unless there's a version mismatch with your tvheadend backend. If you do need to downgr...Prof Yaffle
806 services on Freeview seems like a lot... I have 170 services on 9 muxes here. That aside, it'd be impossible for anyone except you to decide what "the major channels" actually are, I think. For example, I might really like news and l...Prof Yaffle
If I read the deb numbering correctly, all builds stopped about 10 days ago, with 1434: http://dl.bintray.com/tvheadend/deb/pool/4.1/ ... it's probably worth pinging adamsutton on #hts to see if he's aware.Prof Yaffle
You could use a shortcut to the NFS/SMB share instead of using the TV menu - then you'd get the real directory structure. Otherwise, I don't know if the newest pvr.hts addon offers anything - maybe try negge or ksooo on #hts.Prof Yaffle
You could use a different recording profile for each type, and then give a separate recording path for each? I don't recall a version that would have allowed you to sort as you describe, so I can't really imagine what's disappeared, but ...Prof Yaffle
