No more subdirectories/sublevels for recordings possible? Why?
Added by Daniel Kleinen almost 9 years ago
Hi!
I use tvh for a couple oft days now. Why is it not possible to use more than one sublevel for recordings anymore?
At first i had an older version installed and it was pretty fine with more than one sublevel. In the newer version i have installed now it is not possible anymore.
Why is it so? It was a very nice function.
I would like to sort my recordings for parents and children at first. Then i would like to sort them to movies and series. And the series i would like to sort again.
A folder with all the records or all the grouped recordings is not comfortable when it is not sorted for parents and children.
I use tvh with kodi. I use the Live-TV function with the recordings menu. I don't want to import the recordings as videos.
The function was good. Why isn't it supported anymore? Maybe it is possible to create a checkbox and to choose the behaviour.
Regards
Niel

You could use a different recording profile for each type, and then give a separate recording path for each? I don't recall a version that would have allowed you to sort as you describe, so I can't really imagine what's disappeared, but perhaps it was a version before I discovered tvh...
EDIT
Seeing another post, it suggests that the addon doesn't show the subdirs anyway, only the channels. I don't use the addon like this, so I can't comment... I'd need to do some testing... but, if that's the case, then adding more subdirs clearly wouldn't help. You'd have to access the files' location directly, e.g. via a network share.

Hi!
Different profiles are not a solution. The recordings are shown together in the list after finishing it.
I now use tvh only for recording anymore. After recording i change the filenames and use Kodi/TheTVDB for sorting the records.
