EPG Grabber (OTA) scans only one channel per network here...

Added by Martin Gruenewald about 8 years ago

I've just bought a router with cable modem from AVM (Fritzbox 6490) and discovered the great "TVheadend" just recently.

Because I like to import the three m3u lists from the router with the "network auto"-option, I've tried the newest betas (4.1.xxxx) I could find for my Raspberry Pi2 - and for my Synology 215j.
So far, everything seems to work fine on both systems.
But the OTA EPG (which I'd prefer to use) only fills the channels, when I do a network scan or when I watch the channel.
When I trigger the EPG-Grabber, it only finds one Radio Station, one SD- and one HD-channel (These are my three mru-lists/networks). Then it stops - without any error in the log file.

What could I have done wrong?

Martin

See issue #4009 - If you're running the latest from git (version: 4.1-2309~g0736ebc) & it's still happening open another bug report, otherwise wait for whoever maintains the packages to update (or ask them to if you can't wait).

Talking about EPG Grabber:
I updated from 2247 to 2309 on a Synology DS215j and I am missing the tabs "EPG Grabber Channels" and "EPG Grabber Modules" within the tab "Channel / EPG". What happend to them ?
"Mux Schedulers" in "DVB Inputs" also got lost.

Is this change intended ?

There was a commit that changed the view level of some tabs, so you may need to switch to the "Expert" view level.

That would have been too easy. At least here the change to expert view, doesn't change anything.
Can you reproduce this error or do the tabs appear on your system?

Thank you Mark!
now that I have learned how to compile, I can confirm that this bug is gone. But unfortunately now TVheadend always stops with "Segmentation fault" after a while. I've found other compilations - and checked 4.1-2301~g50a3707. Same problem...

A change of the view level by clicking the button 'View level' on the right side, next to the help button, indeed doesn't show the tabs.
Instead, you have to change the general view level within 'General --> Base --> User Interface Level'.

Open a new issue and provide Traces If you're unsure how get a trace see my post here

Once you've installed corekeeper you'll be able to run Tvheadend as normal in non-interactive (daemon) mode & when it does die corekeeper will automatically capture the dump, you can then use gdb to provide a log.
