Added by mk mkm over 10 years ago

Hi,

I'm installing a new setup with a ubuntu server 14.04 and tvheadend 3.4.28 stable and i cannot get tvheadend to get any services.
I've tried with 2 DVB-T USB tuner and it works fine on a synology with tvheadend 3.4.27-6.
I've spend several hours and i cannot make if find services.

Now when i connect the usb, i get the kernel messages :

[ 2526.753214] usb 1-6: new high-speed USB device number 2 using ehci-pci

So everything seems to be fine for the USB tuner but tvheadend didn't find any signal.

Here is a link of my setup is someone want to see some details :
http://86.71.61.19:9981
user: tvheadendclient
pass: tvheadend

The DVB-T adapter is a Dual Tuner USB Elgato EyeTV Diversity called DiBcom 7000PC.
There is 2 instances on /dev/dvb/adapter1 and adapter2

Thanks

Mika

I've adjusted the muxes for you by hand (again - I'll send you a bill next time :-) ) and it's scanning now - 96 services so far.

When that's complete, you can delete or disable the muxes you don't need, since you have 40+ defined. And then copy the remaining muxes over to the other adapter

Thank you again.

Now i've understand what you changed in muxes for my DVB-T.

I have the similar problem on the tuner DVB-S STB0899 Multistandard, but i've tried to add muxes manually but nothing happends when i click "Add" after filling the frequency, symbolrate, ...
Example on my current satellite Hotbird 13°:
channel ARTE : 11681.00 H DVB-S2 8PSK 27500 3/4

Is it normal that i can't add manually ?

Thanks again.

I've tried adding that mux you mentioned and it still isn't working, could you run something like w_scan (should be in your dists repo as wscan or w_scan or even w-scan..) and see if that finds anything (it should blurt out sat info and print if the signal is okay)

Edit: Leaving your login details here isn't such a good idea either and I really recommend you change them ASAP!

Hi,

I will try thanks.
How do you manage to add manually the line, nothing happends for me when i click add.

Thanks

Mickael

It should simply be a case of clicking 'add' and entering the details - no, it's not normal for it to do nothing.

Open up your port forwarding again and I'll take a look tomorrow if you like. Otherwise, post some screenshots of your adapter config and I'll see if there's anything obvious.

Hi Again,

When i click add at the bottom, nothing happends. It worked with my DVB-T cart but with the DVB-S cart it won't work.

I've tried with Chrome and firefox. I've tried to disable the cart and try again, same problem.
No information show on the debug mode

Hi,

For now i manage to get channels with the defaults multiplexes. So i'm ok.
But i still can't add manually multiplexes.

The jpg shows that the symbolrate is wrong (the red line). It's in baud, not kilobaud, so you'd expect a much bigger number than that; look at the auto muxes to see what values they have.

Thanks you, sorry i didn't see that.
