I'd start with the current 3.2 beta release - there's an Ubuntu PPA linked to in "Download", above. Looks like there was a problem with the Hardy AMD64 build, but you're on Precise so you should be fine.

You have to tick the auto-detect muxes box and enter in one mux frequency. It will autodetect the rest. I was never able to get the services mapping to work with those birds, so I had to map all channels manually. Use lyngsat to get mux ids.

Mark,
Please provide a debug log so we can see exactly what's going on (you can enable debugging in the UI, there's a little icon down by the debug window, looks like a cog).

RE: witch tvheadend to use for north american tv - Added by Adam Sutton about 12 years ago
I'd say those frequencies look a little on the high side, 122GHz is a bit much. I think you've got a bit finger happy on the 0 key, try lopping off the last 0, 12.2GHz would seem more reasonable.

ok so 12.2 and heres what i got . tried couple other things but ?now would any of this have anything to do with my lnb settings ?diseqc settings? how should they be? they are DTV eagle 32+ circular 11250 and i have a 4x2 emp diseqc switch ... i have in satellite configuration lnbs set to DBS and each sat set to the correct number port on the diseqc switch 1,2,3,4 and deleted the default set up all together .and in the comment part for each i have just put( dish ) for 3 of them and (bell) for 1

no ideas why this would not be working for me now? thnx i know its busy here with the coding and other things
RE: witch tvheadend to use for north american tv - Added by Adam Sutton about 12 years ago
I would try resetting your configuration and starting again, just to see if that helps. Something is very wrong here, its still saying things like 12KHz, which is clearly not a valid frequency. And the freq being sent to the receiver just doesn't tie up properly.

RE: witch tvheadend to use for north american tv - Added by Anonymous about 12 years ago
ok Adam thnx i tried that few times restarting and such, all so had did 35 updates for ubuntu, next in ubuntu software center tvheadend updated the xmltv epg for tv ? ok then i went back on to tvheadend reset my configurations and tried again same thing came up for each sat as before 12khz right for each front end failed invalid argument frequency11249988 . no just so i have this right i should have this installed ( HTS Tvheadend 3.1.776-ge3231-percise ) and my lnb configurations is simple and works for my 3 other recevier test devices no problem on this pc that i have ubuntu installed i al so have win7 on the other side of the hard drive with mediaportal installed with same configurations for lnb and diseqc switch set up works fine but i am also using xbmc as a fron end for mediaportal to . here is my set up for lnb port 1 is sat 91w next is port 2 110w next is port3 119w next is port4 129w and this is how i have it set up in tvheadend with the lnb setting on DBS because these are not back stacked lnbs should not be a problem with standard type lnbs .i am just trying to think what else might be going on here maybe there is a command to be changed in the terminal ? like khz to ghz ? i dont know still fairly new to lot of this , one more thing i had a friend help me out to some extent before here is the list of commands i used after updating and before installing tvheadend ....sud -s into root next
-get update && sudo apt-get update
apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/java
apt-get update
apt-get install oracle-java7-installer
apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras
/usr/share/doc/libdvdread4/install-css.sh
next download the pulse * file xbmc.sh
next sudo -s into Downloads
chmod 755 install-xbmc.sh
bash install-xbmc.sh
ok thats not much to do with this but is how i installed xbmc and few updates maybe has something to do with my little scan problem here .
should i have bothered with these updates and stuff ? this was in the spring early summer and since then you guys have wrote new stuff for tvheadend and xbmc for this has been fixed up by Odenkamp i would like to see this work somehow any sugestions i dont mind reinstalling ubuntu to what ever version is best for this service. i think for now i will reinstall ubuntu and just do the updates from the manager and then tvheadend and xbmc graphics card DVB adapter and just these 1's see what happens thnx again Adam your help is appreciated

Hello,
I am having the same issue, were you ever able to find a solution?
Thanks
RE: witch tvheadend to use for north american tv - Added by Anonymous almost 12 years ago
yes sorta onto the next thing now ,the problem i was having was that i had the wrong diseqc settings 0 is port1, 1 is port2, 2 is port3, 3 is port4 and so on. next i was having trouble with adding muxes manually turns out i was 1 zero off the right setting for fec rate to 20000000/21500000 instead i was trying with 2000000. so now i have muxes and it will let me map to channels but i am missing almost all my SD channels i think the scan was to fast and missed some i dont know maybe someone can tell use whats going on with this part i am now using 3.2.34 on 86x ubuntu 12.04 last thing i am fiddling with is the tv_grab_file cant seem to get it configured just yet. i would like to get all the channels configured first.maybe i am trying with the wrong version. any help would be great thnx
RE: witch tvheadend to use for north american tv - Added by Chris S almost 12 years ago
Could you share one of you settings for the manual muxes, i am pulling my hair out on this.
Thanks for your help.
RE: witch tvheadend to use for north american tv - Added by Anonymous almost 12 years ago
here i will give a list you can pickout whats in here and configure your muxes these are up to date i havent done 82w yet.and these are for mediaportal but you go to lyngsat and compare you will see what you are looking for its all here in these list . i hope this helps i get 90% om HD and bout 5% of my SD .i think the system has to be converted from ntsc to analog ? i was just reading a how to here buy Hein about this type thing . tomorrow i will have more time to try his build see what happens lol make what you will of these i am by no means set up proper yet! best of luck let me know how you make out remember back stacked and 0 is port 1 to start that was my mistake and one zero out on the fec rate lol 8 numbers on the tp and fec rate seems to lock and idle scan 100% then i am able to map channels but many missing
