No BBC channels in UK South
Added by mark stallard almost 13 years ago
Hi,
I'm new to this so apologies if this has been asked before.
I live in the south of the UK, near Isle of Wight & I know my transmitter is Rowrdige, however when I setp and add the DVB channels I'm missing the first 10 channels BBC1, 2, ITV, Channel 4 etc.
any Ideas why?
cheers

You probably have "old" muxes in your list.
Check your muxes against the latet version of the uk initial tuning file from the dvb-apps project, or look at the latest linuxtv_muxes.h file in git (it was updated earlier this week)

I am having the same problem, Using PCTV DVB-T2 tuner and I haven't picked up SD BBC channels, however would like to get the HD channels working too.
Have added some multiplexes (see attached image) from this page http://www.ukfree.tv/txdetail.php?a=TQ339712 but nothing is showing up. Can anyone point me to the correct frequencies for Crystal Palace, London?

Try with transmission mode set to 8k or Auto - you have some at 2k, some at Auto. uktvfree is normally spot-on accurate, so try using the precise frequencies it lists: I'm not sure how you've gone from 529.8 (529800) to 529833, for example, or from 482.0 (482000) to 481833.
