Improved "Disabled Recording" Handling
Added by Prof Yaffle almost 10 years ago.
Updated almost 10 years ago.
Description
Just wondering if this could be shown differently (better) in the UI...
At the moment, if you disable a recording event in Upcoming/Current recordings, the recording is flagged as Failed with a status of Time Missed when it inevitably doesn't record (as you've told it not to).
It would be better if it were flagged as Failed/Skipped or Failed/Disabled, something like that - with a more neutral, less angry icon as well - to distinguish it from real failures (e.g. due to disc space, signal quality, a blocked tuner, whatever).
I would propose to add new status "completedWarning", we have these states (mapped to icons) now:
scheduled
recordingError
recording
completedError
completed
unknown
And we may add new status description "Skipped by user request" ?
Objections?
No objections. So long as it's clearly different from a failure (completedError, I presume) then that meets the requirement as I see it.
There's a separate question then about whether there are any other status flags, or how these map already (e.g. is an aborted recording completedError, completedWarning, recordingError or something else?).
- Target version set to 4.2
- Status changed from New to Fixed
- % Done changed from 0 to 100
Applied in changeset commit:tvheadend|868e64825fc3c89d2151938dcf30ebf5c1ce4144.
