Are the services being found by Tvheadend? Audio Stream Filters may be of use?

You may find that Tvheadend has found then but hasn't named them so they'll show up as a blank service.

don't they appear in the audio sub channel selection?

When TVHeadEnd scans that transponder, it only finds 4 services and 2 channels. The two channels are a video service and a single channel audio service, and I have no problem receiving those. The other two services are shown in the services tab as Encrypted, and their two Service ID's are 44 and 1015, neither of which match any of the channels on the list. If I try to map the two encrypted services anyway, they show up with PMT's of 5184 (which maps as a video channel) and 4117 (which maps as a radio channel) respectively, but if I try to access either in Kodi I get a "No access" popup, which is consistent with an encrypted service. The log shows several lines like:

2015-07-01 12:04:57.000 subscription: 0280: No input source available for subscription "192.168.0.36 [ XBMC Media Center ]" to channel "SES-3/12145V/{PMT:5184}"

and

2015-07-01 12:06:36.000 subscription: 0282: No input source available for subscription "192.168.0.36 [ XBMC Media Center ]" to channel "SES-3/12145V/{PMT:4117}"

All the channels listed in that thread simply don't appear.

As for the two non-encrypted services, neither of them shows multiple audio streams available. If there is some other way to select audio sub channels, I'm not aware of it. I also have no idea what's meant by "Audio Stream Filters" (is there a page that explains those?) but generally speaking, if a service has multiple audio streams I can select them in Kodi by going to the main channel and selecting the audio options and selecting a different audio stream, but in the case of the video service, the audio streams selection is greyed out, indicating there is only one. I think that in Kodi, radio channels are only a single stream by default, at least there is no apparent way to select multiple streams.

So what happens is that TVHeadEnd will scan the transponder, and it does find two video and two audio services, one of each of which is encrypted. It does not find any of the audio channels in the big list in the thread I mentioned. As you may have noticed, the same is true of most standalone satellite receivers - they will not find those channels during a scan but if you enter them manually, you can receive them.. The difference is that as far as anyone can tell, TVHeadEnd doesn't give you any way to enter those services manually. Even if I pick one of those encrypted services services, such as the one at SID 1015 PID 4117, the fields for "Encrypted" and "Service ID" are listed in the "Read Only" section and can't be changed (otherwise I'd try editing that service to see if I could get one of those channels). Basically, I think if there were a way to edit the Service ID, it would be possible to receive those channels, but I may be wrong. But what I would really like is a way to manually add a new service from the "Services" tab, so that all the information (including that normally found in the "Read Only" section) could be filled in.

I'm attaching a screen shot showing how the four services that TVHeadEnd finds appear.

Sorry about the duplicate; I tried to edit a punctuation error and did not realize it would create an entire new post.

These are "hidden" services. They are not listed in any tables so there is no way that tvheadend can scan them in. These hidden services are common in North America.

I can add them in by manually writing service files into .hts and I've posted instructions for that back on rick's satellite forum.

Put me down as a plus one on this feature request.

I see the demand. The providers sometime also put wrong stream information like in bug #2756 .
