Description
Hello,
I'm using unstable version of tv-headend for ubuntu precise distribution "HTS Tvheadend 3.9.429~ga678110~precise", and found out that there is missing feature which was present in stable/beta version... I was able to change preferred CA PID which was used for descrambling of the service/channel... The entry in configuration file was "prefcaid", if I remember it correctly. Is it possible to add it?
thx
this repository I have used for installation:
for unstable:
deb http://apt.tvheadend.org/unstable precise main
for stable/beta:
deb-src http://apt.tvheadend.org/stable precise main
deb-src http://apt.tvheadend.org/beta precise main
Maybe it would be better just to add priority on CWC entries :-)
Hello,
Currently I found out temporary solution for this... It seems that tvheadend is trying the CWC connection from the lowest ID number to the highest.... so you can manage it by renaming CWC files and changing ID entry in each...

Finally doesn't work :-( Sometimes works,some time not... :-(
Finally I got it working via capmt, so all the switching is done in oscam, but this is something different :-)
- Subject changed from Missing feature in unstable version of tvheadend - prefered CA PID which was available in stable/beta version to [Git Master] Missing feature: Prefered CA PID
- Status changed from New to Fixed
- % Done changed from 0 to 100
Applied in changeset commit:tvheadend|a9e7d13cbf7d32b712d8b8bb8370b45c9ffbf6ad.
Hello,
The preferred CA PID is there, but it doesn't work correctly... I can change the number to any value, but when I switch to this channel, it change it to first working CAID... so it is completely good for nothing :-)
thx

forgot about it... need more testing...
Hello,
now I can confirm it... I set all preferred CA PID to 0 and tvheadend automatically is changing preferred CA PID when I change to this channel... I have updated the preferred caid for selected channel and change again to this channel... tvheadend changed this number back to old value...
Is it possible to update the preferred caid only in case there is 0 value ??? or never and the user must update it manually....
thx
