Tvheadend

I'm using Tvheadend 3.4 with the latest Oscam for getting decryption keys. Everything is fine but I'm not able to use a hostname instead of an IP address when configuring the newcamd client in Tvheadend. Here's a log snippet from after I've changed the client address to the corresponding hostname, along with a few nslookups to prove that the domain really exists:

I'm not sure if this issue is due to me having a dual-stack network. Oscam seems to support IPv6 (at least the web interface is accessible over it) and I use the -6 switch when starting Tvheadend.
