A while back I build a 3.5.27~g404316f version from source and than I had the same problem. Thought my build had a bug so waited for a new stable release. But no luck so far. When I switch back to 3.2.34~gfaee94b~quantal everything works again.

Any hints what can be wrong and/or how to debug this?

This seems to be related to #1670, the errors I see with that one vary between "time missed" and "no input detected'

Try disabling full mux rx in the adapter configuration.

I've got the same problems with 3.4+
Same area, Ziggo Brabant/Limburg.

I am running 3.3~something (6 feb) now, it works.

Did you ever manage to solve this problem?

Ok i figured it out, at least for ziggo with network id 1111. If you have an other network id you can make your own mux-tabel with the data from http://www.digitalekabeltelevisie.nl/techniek/tvhome.shtml. seems ziggo is doing something that tvh doesn't detect or something :p it's very important you leave autodetect muxes off or you get a load of garbage, muxes with services on non-existing frequencies probably from other network-id's

ok let's go:

put the adapter on "autodetect muxes off", "idle scanning on" and "network id 1111". full mux reception can be turned off.

stop tvheadend, make a file "nl_ziggo_1111" and put it in the same dir as nl_ziggo (some dvb-c dir) with the following content, then import the muxes with "add dvb by location", choose nl_ziggo_1111 and start tvheadend again.

in above content, the 1. and 2. should be # , don't know how it got there, maybe the site is replacing it.

I think you missed mux 29 in your file:

Things get even stranger, my autoscan muxes found 2 mux 29's. One at 802.750 Mhz and one at 698.750 Mhz. According to the website Thijs links to Mux 29 is at 698.750 Mhz and there is no mux at 802.750 Mhz.

Anyone know what the correct frequency is for MUX 29?

Updated by Marieke Janssen about 11 years ago

I didn't miss that mux, 698750000 was just not valid. See the file, C 802750000 6875000 NONE QAM64 is included.

Looking at http://www.digitalekabeltelevisie.nl/techniek/tvhome20131001.shtml (a couple of changes back) the frequency is indeed 802.7500
Looking at http://www.digitalekabeltelevisie.nl/techniek/tvhome20131002.shtml there has been a change on mux 29, indeed to 698.7500

Don't trust "autodetect muxes", it just does not work at Ziggo 1111 area, comes up with totally wrong frequencies and/or duplicate muxes since tvh3.4. at least here it does (zuidlimburg). Maybe that gets fixed soon. for now i'll suggest you don't believe anything autodetect says and turn the option off :)

Regarding your question:
Thanks! I didn't know they changed it! :) Regarding the tvhome site it's 698.750 now so I think you should go for that now :)

C 698750000 6875000 NONE QAM64 seems to be right.

I have removed all the odd Muxes but I still run into the problem.

The problem seems to be related to my 2nd recording card (Cablestar HD2) since things are OK as long as only the first card (Terratec Synergy 1200C) is used.
Is anyone else who runs into this problem using the Cablestar HD2?

Regards,

Ronald

My 2nd tuner card (Cablestar HD2) works correctly after a reboot but fails after some time. Is there a way to force a card reinitialisation before starting a new recording on a tuner card?

A while back I build a 3.5.27~g404316f version from source and than I had
the same problem. Thought my build had a bug so waited for a new stable
release. But no luck so far. When I switch back to 3.2.34~gfaee94b~quantal
everything works again.

Any hints what can be wrong and/or how to debug this?

Tnx, will try to test during the weekend. I'm also in ziggo region 1111 :)

Do you know a nice way to backup current state so I can switch back when it
fails?

Just ran into the problem again. This is with the corrected muxes and version 3.5.something.

Only logs the message: 'dvr: Recording unable to start: "program name": No input detected'

Enabled debug logging but this did not add any usefull information. Quality 100 and the correct channel.

Stopping the recording and starting another recording on the same mux fails again.

Stopping the recording and starting another recording on another mux fails aswell.

Will try a stop / start cycle of tvheadend later and if that also fails a reboot.

Restart tvheadend did not fix the problem
Restart tvheadend & oscam did not fix the problem
Reboot did fix the problem

  • Status changed from New to Rejected

This looks to me like a hardware issue, I'm closing. If it's still believe to be a problem in TVH please re-report.
