Bug #1566
tvh creates new (disabled) adapters on reboot
0%
Description
I setup my adapters and gave each of them an individual name, to be able to distinguish them.
After reboot I realized, that all active adapters where created new in disabled state and the devices are attached to them.
The adapters I had completely configured are unrelated to any device, so none of them has active muxes.
This results in an unusable state of tvh
Does tvh perform the linking between device and adapter configuration, or is it a problem of udev?

I'm not really sure I understand what you're saying?
When you say, "gave them a name" do you mean you named them in TVH? If so this is an entirely internal (within TVH) feature that's there purely for information purposes. Ultimately they should still be linked to the original devices.
Can you provide some debug logs to help understand what you're trying to say. Also might be useful to have full syslog/dmesg output just to check system DVB messages.

When I turned the machine on and pointed the browser to tvh - it called me a liar.
All setup was as expected (picture Adapters-default.png).
So I turned debug of tvh on and issued a reboot.
When the system came up again, adapter settings was as described in bug report (picture Adapters-faulty.png)

OK, I think I can see what is happening here. The problem is that your adapters are coming up in a slightly different order. In first case ST comes up then the Philips, in second case the reverse.
It's documented that TVH will not handle this and you must do something (udev?) to ensure this doesn't happen. There is already an FR in to improve the adapter handling, but this is being put back until the internal DVB rewrite has been completed.
