Hi folks,

I'm quite new to XBMC and PVR... however, I already cross posted my idea/vision on http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=145668.

I think it would be a fantastic feature if the backend would (optionally?) notify the client (i.e. the XBMC PVR plugin) if channels become temp. inavailable (because of other clients or recordings occupying tuners/muxes).

The Client could then take appropriate action... e.g. grey out the channels in the channel list. Or skip these channels during zapping, etc.

FernetMenta respondes pointing to the already available bIsHidden flag in XBMC's channel list. However, I think we need to prepare the backend 1st, then the client side.

The backend would need to calculate channel availability considering the respective priorities of course... but should be possible, shouldn't it?
