Feature #1373
closed
- Priority changed from Normal to Low
This is being discussed in #hts. The main issue, with most things, is developer time and interest. I don't think there is much of that for this feature at the moment.

better expose channels over DLNA :)
Now is possible, tvheadend (url channels stream) put to serviio (wich expose channels over DLNA) then watch on TV without any STB or XBMC
Having thought about this for a while, I simply don't think this will happen. However I will leave open for now.

This topic is hitting mainstream more and more.
Any reconsideration about it?
I'd love to see tvheadend serving as the SAT>IP server.
Currently my setup is done with XBMC as a client to tvheadend. But to be honest, I am not very happy with the integration in XBMC.
One technical question: If tvheadend could act as a SAT>IP server in the future, would it be possible to keep the CAM integration in place? tvheadend is connected to my oscam server and serves the channels decrypted which is a very comfortable feature.
- Category changed from General to DVB
I just like to provide a hint regarding this feature request.
As I was thinking of buying a quad-tuner device I was doing some research.
Someone just started a project writing a SAT>IP wrapper using vtuner.
So the satip device basically can be accessed as a regular dvb device.
The project can be found here: http://code.google.com/p/satip/
Due to lack of hardware I can't try it myself. If this works it seems to be the best way to reliably get a sat signal into my virtual tvheadend machine.
Hi, if someone can help me with the compiling of the sat>ip repository then i can check if its working. I have the GSS.Box and a Ubuntu 12.04 LTS server with tvheadend running (currently with a TT-Budget S2-3200 but i want to switch to SAT>IP if possible.)
Obviously this one should be closed.
