recording suddenly "failed" - one day after the recording
Added by magic jcc about 11 years ago
Hi.
1. excuse my bad english
2. tvheadend is absolutely great. i used VDR for years but the last years it became more and morecomplicated with all those plugins and addons, so that it was terrible to update a server-client-structure, because a new version of a plugin (server) needed a new version of the addon (client) and so on...
Then i found TVH - as a preinstalled client in XBMC - read about it, tried it and i am fascinated of it.
One tool that does what it is made for - no addons, plugins needed.
GREAT!
3. the problem
A recording that was successfull (i even watched a few minutes) is now in the "failed recordings" list.
Have i to edit the configuration file to move it to the "recordings"?

What's the reason for the failure? Is the file still there, is it still visible and accessible to tvheadend?

The recording is still there but in the tab "failed recordings", so you can't watch or download the video.
The error-message is "Status: Time missed"

Hi.
All recordings work but they are "saved as" failed recordings, so i can't watch them neither with the browser nor openelec-client.
As a workaround i share the recording directory (/media/tv) with samba, so i can watch the mkv-files with openelec's mediaplayer. The recordings are ok, so the only problem seems to be that TVH thinks that it "missed the time".

Any idea?

Any post-processing scripts? Any way they've been changed, moved, renamed, altered in any way since recording stopped?
Are they recorded onto a strange filesystem that may not report that the file is "correct"?
Any comskip-like processing?
Any way the timestamps could be altered?
I'm guessing a bit. If you could show the relevant syslog entries for the recording (from pre-start through to completion) and a full ls -la of the file(s) in /media/tv then it might help. Perhaps...!
