Manually deleted recordings

Added by Jamie Dunbar over 11 years ago

Apologies if this is covered somewhere, I did look but could not see anything.

I manually deleted some recordings but they still live in the TVHeadEnd (db?) and therefore appear in the GUI and XBMC. Is there a way to flush this out?

What version of TVH and pvr.hts is this, I have modified both to "hide" recordings for which no file exists. But its possible you've not got the right versions (I can't remember when the pvr.hts changed was merged). TVH 3.4 definitely has the change, check if you have 3 recordings tabs in the webui (if you do, you should see the ones you deleted in the "Failed recordings" tab, with Status "File missing".

Hi Adam,

I have just had another look. I have the failed recordings tab. The file in question seems to not be referenced at all now. I am sure it was there and when I tried to delete it said "bad call" or similar. I will check again when I get home to see if this is still an issue. Would it flush out every x minutes to take account of this?

This is some great software BTW.

I have to admit I can't remember if the inotify code (that detects files being removed) is in 3.4 or not. Without that it will only detect when XBMC queries stuff (or TVH restarts).

But even if TVH is marking them deleted, it requires a change I made to pvr.hts, and I can't remember (though I think it is) whether it is in the stable pvr.hts release.
