Tvheadend 3.5.66~gbabe159 not detecting DVB-T2 (HD) services
Added by Anonymous over 11 years ago
I thought I should try the current development tree so compiled HTS Tvheadend 3.5.66~gbabe159 from Git.
Web interface is tidier with some very useful additions / changes. So would like to switch to this from the current release for this alone although main interest is in testing timeshift in my environment.
Adding muxes to my three tuners worked as expected (although automatic mux detection is different to current release and correctly identified that I had added one mux with a slightly wrong value). However, one tuner supports DVB-T2 for HD FreeView content and the mux for this detects no services. I see no relevant issues in the terminal debug output (debug output to the web interface is blank?). Not sure where to look / what to do next so any input appreciated!

I have the same or similar problem. I'm using the TVHeadend backend service that installs with OpenElec 3.0.
Autodetect correctly adds the 5 SD muxes and finds the services ok.
The HD mux is not autodetected but I add it manually using the parameters from ukfree.tv The mux is added and the network detected as london. The mux id never appears so no services are found on this mux. See screenshot.
I previously used the Pulse openelec build 2.99.4, and also several earlier versions, successfully for this HD mux. I've always had to add it manually but I had no problem detecting the services on it.
I've tried setting the mux parameters manually or choosing auto but it makes no difference using OE3.0 This is the crystal palace mux on 545800.

I am having the same issue in New Zealand. Under OE 2.99.4 I was able to add the muxes manually and all services were found within a couple of minutes.
Now after upgrading to OE3 and the tvheadend backend (3.3.511 I think) I add muxes manually and everything but the muxid is found which results in no services.
Have also tried fiddling with the settings with no success.
Interested in hearing any ideas.

See recent fixes in master, they may help with the whole missing services
issue.

I have built the latest version from Git (3.5.80 g7588429) and the HD channels are now detected.
Thanks for the update Adam.

This is good news but I'm pretty clueless about building stuff from source. Any chance of one of these:
a. some kind person building the version 3.5.80 openelec addon and posting!?
b. an idiots guide to building an open elec addon from source(i did look at the github site but it went over my head)
c. any guess as to when an updated addon for OEv3 might be auto available
Thanks
