WebUI - Refresh Problems on Chrome?

Added by Prof Yaffle about 12 years ago

Is anyone else getting issues with the web interface not refreshing when you change search criteria?

I'm sure in the old (<= 2.12) versions, changes were immediate - but now you have to hit the refresh button to get it to do anything. I've just tested in in Firefox, and it seems to auto-refresh - there's a delay, yes, but there are a lot of events to sort through.

So I suspect it's a Googleism...

Chrome v. 22.0.1229.94 m (32-bit)

Firefox v. 16.0.1 (32-bit)

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1

HTS Tvheadend 3.1.773~gc74b0cf~oneiric running on kernel 3.0.0-24-generic (XBMCBuntu)

Hi,

In my case auto-refresh works in Chrome while searching for a program etc.

I have other problems with Chrome though, I can't seem to play the video in the embedded player in chrome.
Firefox works fine.

Thanks, Alex - what OS is that on, Windows or Linux?

And does it work if you keep searching - so, for example, select a programme name, then select a channel filter, then maybe change the channel (e.g. to a +1 variant), then reset everything? Does it refresh every time, or do you ever have to hit the refresh symbol in the bottom left of the screen before you get the right results?

This is chrome version 22.0.1229.94 on a windows7/32 bit machine.
HTS Tvheadend 3.3.82~g8191e13

Yes, it appears to just work, also with the example you give: enter some letters reduces the programlist, then selecting channels works, after this I can again still add or remove letter with the wanted effect immediately. I dont use chrome that often for tvheadend (since on my machine I have other issues like with the embedded vlc player it appears) so I cant tell you if it works every time, but in general the filters seems to work just fine from the few tests I just did.

I dont need to hit the refresh symbol during the tests I just did (again, this is no "long term usage" ).

Alex.

PS
About the win/chrome versions:
Only difference I notice with your windwos version is that my chrome is 32 bits, and windows 7 is also 32 bits in my case ( while you have 32 bits chrome on a 64 bit install)

TVHeadend I use is the latest version

Mmmm, good spot... let me try some other browsers (Firefox is also 32-bit, but that seems to work okay).

Thanks for the thoughts!

Good luck, maybe also try the latest tvheadend version, there have been some GUI-commits that fixed some other problems like sorting in columns which was broken in 3.something and is fixed now
(although I do not know exactly when)...
