Missing DVB-S2 channels, Astra 19,2E (3.0)

Added by Gnaddel Gnaddel about 12 years ago

Hi there,

I'm having trouble getting DVB-S2 to work on 3.0 (Didn't work on 2.12 properly either, same problem)

Some DVB-S2 channels do not show up, I tried manually adding the according mux but that didn't work either.
The missing channels are ARD HD, ZDF HD and ARTE HD. Some of the working ones are WDR HD (several) and EinsFestival HD.

All DVB-S2 multiplexes are displayed with ,,Frontend unknown". I'm using a Technisat Skystar USB 2 HD Ci, Tvheadend detects it as STB0899 Multistandard.

This is the output of dmesg | grep -i dvb:

gnaddel@gnaddel-htpc:~$ dmesg | grep -i dvb
[ 8.777083] dvb-usb: found a 'Technisat SkyStar USB 2 HD CI' in warm state.
[ 8.777209] dvb-usb: will pass the complete MPEG2 transport stream to the software demuxer.
[ 8.777491] DVB: registering new adapter (Technisat SkyStar USB 2 HD CI)
[ 10.748203] DVB: registering adapter 0 frontend 0 (STB0899 Multistandard)...
[ 10.748561] input: IR-receiver inside an USB DVB receiver as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.7/usb1/1-4/input/input2
[ 10.748707] dvb-usb: schedule remote query interval to 400 msecs.
[ 10.748720] dvb-usb: Technisat SkyStar USB 2 HD CI successfully initialized and connected.
[ 10.748786] usbcore: registered new interface driver dvb_usb_az6027

Thanks for any advice on the problem,
Gnaddel

Have you tried scanning these transponders with any other tools? Just to confirm that you can indeed receive them.

Indeed, it doesn't seem to be a tvheadend specific problem but something more general.
I scanned using ,,w_scan -fs -s S19E2 -o 7 >> channels.conf" and got this channels.conf, it's missing the same channels: http://pastebin.com/PkKdFK47
The bundled dvb-viewer (windows) finds them and plays them just fine though (Using windows isn't an option though).
