Dual tuner problem
Added by Dario Toscano over 12 years ago
I have a problem with my tvheadend server. If I watch HD channel with Cinergy S2 USB and I start DVB-T channel from other XBMC client I have Pixelitation in DVB-S2 channel. If I change in S2 the problem stops until I change multiplexer in DVB-T.
Can anyone helps me?

The guys that's most likely to be able to offer advice on here, Hein Rigolo, isn't about this week (and possibly next). Have you tried popping along to the IRC channel #hts.
Plenty of people in there that might be able to offer advice.

I was wondering if anyone can give some advice. I have a TBS 6981 Dual Tuner - dvbs2.
With both adapters configured (multiplexes added). Changing Channels is very slow. When a delete all the multiplexes from either of the adapters adapter then changing channels is very fast.
Using XBMC as a HTSP Client.

What version of tvheadend? Do you have recent tbs driver?
I'm using the same card myself with no issues.

Hi Adam
Thanks for the reply
TVHeadend Version 2.99.53.4502158
Installed the latest drivers from TBS.
I am using the tvheadend from pulse eight repository : http://packages.pulse-eight.net/ubuntu precise stable
If there is help you can give I would be grateful.
I have been trying to fix this for a while now.

There was a problem with TVH that caused my card not to work at all. I fixed this some time ago and I believe it was in the opdenkamp build that you referenced. So I'm guessing that is not the issue.
However it might be worth trying a more recent build from git if you can, just to check that. Or I should be creating some beta packages in the next day or so if you want to wait.

So compiled the latest from the git repository (3.3.5.g46840).
Switch between channels now fast.
Tested running tvheadend on server
with two network xbmc clients.
Works great.
Really happy - Good Work!
Nice UI Refresh
Really like the way that the channel numbers now map (not perfect, but saves me hours of work!)
Good Job Guys fantastic work.
And thank you Adam for all your help.
