muxes authentication
Added by Kristian Kirilov over 5 years ago
Hello, I watch IPTV via Kodi tvheadend client. Anything I have to setup to watch the TV is to give the hostname/ip address of the server, username & password.
Everything seems to be fine, except that I can't record any of the channel. So I read about tvheadend and realized that I need the tvheadend server because it works as a DVR recorder and streamer. I know that the records is kept to the server side (fix me if I'm wrong).
My idea is to install some Linux box (I already got one), install the tvheadend server, connect to the stream from it, and retransmit the stream to my local network (especially the Kodi box which I'm using to watch right now).
So i've just installed the tvheadend server and try to setup it, without success. I walking through this guide (see the attachment below), my scenario is a bit different because I need to retransmit the stream which is authenticated before access.
And the issue is that - I don't know how to authenticate the stream from the server part, I'm searching everywhere, but there is no input for credentials for specific mux.
So tell me, where is the problem, and Am I right for this principal scheme?

It's not so hard to be realized,
just input your operators playlist to IPTV automatic network input then map all channels.
Then TVH will restream all services on-demand.
The only problematical part will be EPG

Yes and it's not acceptable in your case,
need to be selected first option "Automatic network".
Except if you want to add channels one by one, manually.

Yeah, I got this, but no matter I've selected auto or only IPTV, I can't get the muxes (channels), I always get FAIL status and I think this is because of authentication...
I've tried to put url like this: http://username:password@hostname:port but this also doesn't works for me.

Edit playlist url's,
or give example.
