Need some help setting up for NA PLEASE.

Added by D VS over 12 years ago

Hey All,

I am running xbmcbuntu built on 11.10 lubuntu with latest pvr version. I am trying to setup tvhead with NA. I have entered my cwc and it connects and turns green almost instantly.
I think I setup my lnb's correct
satconfig - lnb0 - lnb3 which I think means
0 = port 1
1 = port 2
2 = port 3
3 = port 4

I have tried setting my lnb to pretty much everything on the list and nothing changes.
my receivers are a all listed as STANDARD but if I list std in tvheaded I get a diseqc error -1 in the log.
So I set to universal which I do not think will work for north america. so I set to circular and I do not get the erro message in the log. I have to setup muxes manually for na they are not listed in the mux list for some reason. I try to setup a mux I have now tried about 10 frequencies from lyngsat and they all start at 100% then count down to zero and sit there with front end saying faint signal.

Has anyone configured NA sats which are on my port 3 and port 4 on my diseq switch. I am connecting to a PS$ with cwc do I still need to setup a oscam or the like connection as well.

Thanks,

Dave

So I think i am a little closer

I setup my satconf like above then change the lnb to DVB then I setup a couple of muxes for na sats, it scanned and found them so now I have 35 muxes with 900+ services

my issue now is it will not map any services to channels. I hit the button to start and it say starting probe in the log and that's it.

my cwc is green and connected with 4 provider (Nit-o Network id is 0 still not sure if I need this) which I guess should not matter for dvb-s, update card is off as the P$server will not allow this.

so does this mean i still need to setup an oscam connection or does cwc take care of it.

NIT-o is only needed when you are provider does not stick to the "official" dvb standards for reporting the frequencies. Even setting it to 0 might cause "problems" so it is better to leave it completely empty instead if putting 0 into it.

Are you sure there are no muxes waiting initial scan?

I have tried deleting the zero when I refresh it returns. initial scans say zero under the general tab.
I setup an oscam server to connect and it is the same problem. I get no emm's at all I am lost with this.
tvheadend connects to my server with cwc without oscam but no emm's I cannot enable update card as I am on a private server and it says not allowed. I setup oscam with newcamd and it connects with 0.0.0.0 it see tvheadend as the client which is then suppose to force a connection to my server via proxy that does not seem to happen either.

Not sure how to proceed now.

This has got to be an issue with tvheadend. scan all my muxes. click on map to channels starts the probe nothing happens all services are unmapped.
cwc is connected to my ps.

I am open to trying anything now, at this point I will head back to mythtv I guess.
