No EPG from DVB
Added by shaul livshits almost 13 years ago
Hello,
I just installed Tvheadend on a Linux box, but I don't see any EPG data.
I fairly sure that the EPG data should be retrieved from the DVB stream (I know that a test installation of mythtv did saw the EPG data).
Otherwise everything is working, I can see the TV channels with the XBMC front-end.
thanks in advance for the help.

What kind of epg data is you dvb provider sending out? We can use EIT epg data directly, and mhg via a grabber.
Also, it might take some time to get all the epg data from the stream.

The provider here (Israel) sends EIT data.
I took a closer look at the configuration pages and found that there is no network listed in the multiplexes tab and services tab.

I'm running build 2.12 on a Giada slim n20 with Ubuntu 10.10 and XBMC. The DVB card is an APEX T328B USB stick (identified in Linux as "Afatech AF9013 DVB-T").
I can watch TV with XBMC, and I know that EPG data is coming through because I can see in XBMC the name of the currently playing show.
However there is now EPG data in the web-UI it just says "No data to display", when i tried it on an Mythtv installation on a different machine the EPG data was retrieved correctly (without the use of XMLTV).

Okee, you can try to compile a latest git version and see what happens then.

hi
this looks still unresolved to me and I just found the solution at another israeli forum in hebrew.
see http://www.hometheater.co.il/vp2006429#2006429
The network id needs to be set to 65314 then add Mux manually
Frequency: 538 000 or 514 000 depending on your location in the country.
Bandwidth: 8Mhz
Constellation: QAM-16
Broadcast Mode: 8k
Guard interval: 1/4
Hierarchy: none
Hi FEC: 2/3
Lo FEC: 2/3
Now I have correct named services and EPG in hebrew
Best Regards
