Audio problem in scrambled channels
Added by Flind Tv almost 13 years ago
Hi,
I'm using Tvheadend for 1 year on a x86 platform with no problems.
Recently I bought a second hand Pogoplug. It's an ARM based platform and you can install debian on it. So I did and after that Tvheadend. After the usual building en configuring process, I was ready to test.
Everything worked fine so I thought... but when I put the volume up while watching a live TV scrambled channel, the audio is not ok. There seems to be some sort of echo on it. It sounds very strange. Video is fine.
On free-to-air channels the issue is not there. TV recordings have the same problem. I use Oscam for the keys. I tried all sort of hardware/software combo's on my x86 and/or ARM platforms, but I can not eliminate the problem. Ít's only on scrambled channels on the PogoPlug. I've tried Tvheadend 2.12 and git-18c9831.
The only thing I can think of is more load on the cpu when descrambling. The load goes from ~10% to ~30% on a scrambled channel.
Anyone suggestions?
Regards,
Frank

First use a more recent got version, just to make sure it was not already fixed. Some code changes to better support ARM were done last week.
