Discover SAT-IP Servers not working, but device shows up in 'TV Adapters'

Added by M. Bergmann about 7 years ago

Hello,

until now I have been using a Synology NAS running TV Headend, but now I want to change to an own-built NAS which runs Debian 8.9 and Openmediavault 3.
I installed successfully TVHeadend 4.2-stable on the new NAS, but when clicking on 'Discover SAT-IP Servers', I just get the following messages in the log:

2017-08-20 20:16:59.966 satip: Triggered new server discovery

1) Well, Cannot get http://192.168.1.74/4:8089/description.xml because these are the ethernet-adapters of the laptop I am using to configure the NAS via SSH. Why does TvH try to get descriptions of the laptop?
EDIT: I get the message every 90 seconds, so he keeps on trying to detect the UUID ???

2) Nevertheless the SAT-IP devices is visible within the 'DVB-Input --> TV adapters'-Tab and I am able to configure it, searching muxes, mapping to channels etc. (I am using a Digibit R1 with the original firmware V1.25.0.157)

3) I also added manually a server UUID into TvH-config file, but this didn't change anything (apart from showing now this UUID in the 'Sat-IP Server'-dialog window).

4) What about the other error messages, where he complains about the EPG ? (the OTA-EPG runs well on the Synology NAS I am using until now)

Thanks in advance for any helpful hint. (it doesn't change anything if the Synology NAS is running with the other installation of TvH or completely switched off. I am talking about a home network, between the NAS and the Digibit-R1 are just two Wlan-Routers)

I added the argument --satip_xml http://192.168.1.21:8080/desc.xml, but nevertheless the Server-UUID is not found.
Neither with 4.2-stable nor the actual testing version. (the ip-address works when called e.g. by a browser)

==> Is a correct detected server-UUID mandatory for TvHeadend ? Or can I just leave it blank ?

(the mentioned artefacts http://192.168.1.74/4:8089/description.xml must derive from the Recording Service of DVBViewer which still is installed on some computers)
