Bouquets - 'Force Scan' not working

Added by Scott Robinson over 8 years ago

Howdy,

When hitting 'Force Scan' in 'Bouquets' it appears to do absolutely nothing. Nothing in the logs etc.

Running the latest build - 4.1-2140~gf34fac1

Screenshot attached screenshot that shows the Bouquets settings. Because of this I've not currently got any channels, although all of the services are there!

Try playing the mux of the bouquet, which in your case looks like the freesat home transponder.

I may have done what you're after? (Sorry - Newish to TVH)

Went to Config > DVB Inputs > Muxes and found the MUX with a matching Name. Tried loading in VLC - Nothing in VLC but get the following in the logs.

I can play channels that should be mapped if I add manually.

Have you selected the rescan and map zero-numbered channels options?

RE: Bouquets - 'Force Scan' not working - Added by Scott Robinson over 8 years ago

Unless I'm mistaken - Map zero-numbered channels is enabled (see the screenshot in original post)

I see no where for 'rescan'? (Attatched is my network settings aswell)

I find it strange that clicking the 'Force Scan' button does nothing at all in any logs?

Sorry my fault, I'd forgot that the rescan was replaced with the force scan button on the toolbar.

When you enable a bouquet Tvheadend should automatically tune to the associated mux to pull the bouquet info and then attempt to map the channels. This is why I said to play the mux in vlc, you can tell it's receiving a complete mux by going to View -> Programmes, it should display the channels on that mux.

Unfortunately all of my systems are disconnected at the moment so I can't test right now, you may want to open a bug ticket though, but the last time I tried it, it worked as expected.
