time shift buffer to recorded tv
Added by micheal naugle over 8 years ago
i have been a longtime user of mythtv. for numerous reasons that i do not wish to get into i have recently switched to tvheadend. one function i miss from mythtv was the ability to apply the time shift buffer to a recording. for example with mythtv if i started watching a broadcast but had to leave before it ended pressing the record button would save the live tv/timeshift buffer and record the remaining portion of the broadcast as opposed to saving only from where i initiated the record. i was wondering if this is possible on tvheadend and if so what i need to do to set it up. for what it is worth i do have time shift enabled and functioning. and considering my past I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty.
thank you
micheal
