I know the card itself works, I could use it to pick up FM transmissions using my android phone and USB-OTG.

This is the result of the scan on my rather immaturely named network (After trying to get this thing to work for 5 hours)

Furthermore, looking at the "stream" screen, the card always seems to show up and then vanish again .....

This is what happens: https://vid.me/CPxG

Have you tried the other testicle? Sorry couldn't resist made lol. but seriously..

Make sure you're not using mostly AUTO values.

Make sure you have set: Freq, Constellation, Transmission mode, Bandwidth and Guard interval, without these tuning may fail

Ive tried using the following resources to try to add the frequencies manually:

https://tvheadend.org/boards/4/topics/10171
http://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/digital_channels
http://ozdigitaltv.com/transmitters/NSW/67-Kings-Cross
http://manlyelectronics.com.au/products/av/digital_tv_transmitters_sydney_northern_beaches.html

Scanning failed, even when adding the frequencies manually (I live in Sydney).

I've also tried installing w_scan and trying to see if I can make a list for dvbscan.

w_scan -c AU -X > channels.conf

Returning the output of:

Info: no data from SDT(actual)
Info: no data from NIT(actual)
dumping lists (0 services)
Done.

and a 0kb file.

I also tried installing kaffeine, and me-tv, both of which didnt pick up any channels.

UPDATE, Im an idiot:

Turns out the reason nothing was working (other than FM radio on Using an android OTG Application, was due to my room having Dysmally poor signal strength.

I took my laptop downstairs and connected it to the amplified Areal Jack, and TADA, it picked up all the channels.

Can a mod/admin please mark this thread as resolved? Cheers and thanks for your time in trying help anyways

:D

I presume the conclusion is that your signal was as much bollocks as your network, then... :D

lol. I like everything to be wired but there wasnt any ethernet near the TV. Also dont pay too much attention to the shrooms at the base of the plant d:
