tvheadend add a USB caméra on a channel

Hello I have Ubuntu server Linux Andi added it a USB camera can u think we can add a USB camera live streaming over tvheadend ?
The camera is a /dev/video0
What do u think about this idea ?

Not something I've ever played with, but isn't it dependent on the output of the camera? If it can output in anything that can be redirected via ffmpeg to re-wrap it or re-encode it, it can be fed back into tvh via the pipe:// input as I understand it.
v4l was necessary for native analogue input, but there are other ways.

As I say, not something I've played with either. However, as far as I know, you set up an IPTV stream using a pipe:// URL as per the following article:

... so the challenge becomes what command-line options you have to intercept the output from your camera and then translate it into a valid format. I agree that a basic how-to would be useful, but the real variable here is your camera, and that's something you'd need to work out for yourself (what formats it outputs, how, to where...).
I could be utterly wrong, though, or course
