Problem when recording in xbmc/kodi and in webgui epg

Added by da king over 9 years ago

Hi
I have a problem that started about 2 weeks ago.
the problem i have i stha when i try to record lets say setting a timer in the EPG in xbmc, and the program should start at 21:00, but i'll set the timer when the clock is lets say 19:00 then the recording starts. its very annoying. same is when i do it in the webgui.
So my thougt is that the clock is tottaly wrong somewhere in TVH!!!! ??
I had a problem with th clock in my server but it is fixed so time is right.
I use UBUNTU 14.04 LTS.
And the when i try to start a live recordning in xbmc it says like on theese pictures below.

I used version 4.0.5
now i have tried 4.1-360~g0916e52
same thing.

I have tried this but no sucess

Check configuration -> Networks ... edit the relevant network... there's an option there for "EIT in local time". That's likely to be your problem: that, instead of using UTC, your provider is using local time, and so there's a double adjustment (i.e. your timezone offset is added to something that's already adjusted rather than only adding it to the UTC base time).

Hi
I ticked that option in network
and restarted TVH
Same problem.

You'll probably also have to delete your existing EPG database, as I don't think it will correct data you've already scraped, as that's already been processed.

Stop tvheadend, rename /home/hts/.hts/tvheadend/epgdb.v2, and restart. You'll now have a blank EPG, so you'll need to wait for it to re-populate as normal.

Hi

I have tried that to
didnt work

I Think its a UBUNTU problem mabye.

Im going to install Debian instead. see if it helps.

Are you using xmltv or OTA? The EIT checkbox will only work for OTA... if it's not that, then I'd look to the source of your data. If you're using xmltv, run the grabber to download the data and have a look at it, see what it's telling you. It's not impossible that you're receiving broken information.

There's nothing inherent in 14.04 LTS that would cause this - I use the same OS on tvh 4.1-357~g9a273c5 and see no problems with times.

Sounds like a system clock/timezone configuration issue, then - I can't imagine why else xmltv and EIT would be off.

You've checked cat /etc/timezone and date?
