Digital Devices Cine C/T v6 & Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS no channels
Added by manuel christlieb over 9 years ago
Hey Guys,
I want to switch from Windows and DVBViewer to Linux & TVHEADEND.
But I'm struggling getting anything to run...
My steps:
- Fresh install of Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS
- Installation of missing dddvb-dkms drivers foor the Digital Devices CineC/T v6
- Installation of Tvheadend like mentionend [[https://tvheadend.org/boards/5/topics/11696]]
- entered webserver and there are both tuners.
- Add add dvb-c network DE-Muenchen (I'm living in Augsburg but there isn't any network for my location)
- In the log are error messages that front configuration failed bad file descriptor
Anyone knows my issue?
Please helkp me
thank in advance

I think he means 'add a known-working mux manually, and let auto-discovery work out the rest of them'.
Alternatively, pop over to #hts on Freenode and ask there... we have a few German users, it's quite possible someone is using DVB-C even if they're not in the same area as you.
That said, the only time I've seen the 'bad file descriptor' is due to a dodgy tuner connection, a lack of power to the tuner, the tuner going onto power-saving and not waking up, etc.; that's likely to be an OS-level message that the /dev/dvb/xxxx files are no longer accessible, even if they were when tvh started.
