One Backend Multiple streaming Clients
Added by John Brines over 9 years ago
Hi Guys,
I have setup my DVB-S2 tuner on my TVHeadEnd Server with multiple clients but when I am playing on one KODI client and then try to play on another I get the following error from the second "no free adapter" and if I look at the server is says "No input source available for subscription", how can I get it to work?
J.

You need more than one tuner to be able to view another service on another mux. You can however tune to another service on the same mux & it should work without issue.
E.G:
11444V: Service one Service two 10045H: Service three service four
If client A requests service two, client B can only request either service one or service two, it cannot access three or four on the other mux without another tuner available.

Do Different UK regions use different muxes?

Not for satellite - Freeview, yes, because they reused the old local analogue carrier frequencies - but Freesat muxes are universally available to everyone in the footprint so everyone can receive every regional variation. Channel mapping (e.g. bouquets) can then be used to get your preferred BBC and ITV variations on channel 1, 3, and similar.
Something like kingofsat (e.g. http://en.kingofsat.net/pos-28.2E.php) will tell you what services are broadcast on what frequencies if that's where you're headed (i.e. which channels can you watch at the same time).
