Probably fair comment, but I'd failed to find anywhere that could reliably send the 290 instead of the 292, so beggars can't be choosers!

Nope, it has to be at least over a year now.

Apparently the 292e will be supported in 3.16 and is supported in older versions if you use the linuxtv build script.

Appears to be pot luck whether you get a 292e or 290e. Both were on the shelves in Great Portland Street when I checked a week or so ago.

To be honest, now the August T210 is working (albeit with patches that may be difficult to apply on ARM platforms) I'd plump for that. Belling Lee connector, and appears to be more sensitive.
