channel scan doesn't start.

Added by mk mkm over 10 years ago

Hi Everybody

I use a synology DS214+ with DSM 5.0-4482
I've installed TVheadend 3.4.27-6
I have a USB tuner DVB-T Hauppauge WinTV Nova T USB2, i've installed "Video Station" package and the tuner works. Now i've removed channels on "Video Station" and on tvheadend/ DVB Input / Tv Adapters , i've selected the adapter.

Now i've selected "add DVB network by location", selected france / all_fr, it fills the list of mutiplexe but no channel scan start.

How do i start a channel scan ?

Here is below the config:

If anybody can help, i'm new in Tvheadend.

Can you post a screenshot of that page, please, just so I can see everything.

Re: the muxes - is it the case that France uses the same mux frequencies everywhere? I've seen them wrong in many countries, but a universal mux set should be right...

It also used to be the case that you needed Video Station enabled to load the kernel modules needed for the tuners. I don't know if that's true on DSM 5, but it's worth a look.

Hi,

I've Video Station is started now.

As there is a lot of menus, better than screenshot, here is the link of my synology tvheadend

http://86.71.61.89:9981
user: mika
pass: tvheadend

In my region the frequency used are :

R1 39 618Mhz
R2 54 738Mhz
R3 28 530Mhz
R4 25 506Mhz
R5 22 482Mhz
R6 48 690Mhz
R7 45 666Mhz
R8 43 650Mhz

So the list include more than required.

Try it now :)

I enabled your adapter (curiously, this is important...), deleted your muxes and added them by hand. It's showing 111 services now.

EDIT

It seems to have stablised at 126 services. The mux at 666,666KHz doesn't seem to have picked anything up - DVB-T2, perhaps? - and there's a spurious mux been detected at 4,294,967KHz (which is firmly into shortwave radio) but the rest seem okay. Have a look, map them across and see if it makes sense.

Hi,

Thanks a lot, i didn't ask so much.

And yes it is important to check the "Enable".

About the devil mux 666Mhz, i'm not sure, i will check as my tuner is old and not even HD.

Best regards

Mickael
