tvheadend on echostar 10 echostar 14

Added by Roland Szabo over 10 years ago

Hey you guys i am running tvheadend on my ubuntu 12.10 machine using a tbs6985 and i am having a hard time configuring it right now. I try to add the muxes mannually but the quality staying at 100% and not changing the adapter is enabled. While i go to the adapter screen signal is 0% I am unable to map any channels and when i do a dmesg | grep frontend
[ 13.865118] DVB: registering adapter 0 frontend 0 (TurboSight TBS 6985 DVBS/S2 frontend)...
[ 14.414995] DVB: registering adapter 1 frontend 0 (TurboSight TBS 6985 DVBS/S2 frontend)...
[ 14.966298] DVB: registering adapter 2 frontend 0 (TurboSight TBS 6985 DVBS/S2 frontend)...
[ 15.517593] DVB: registering adapter 3 frontend 0 (TurboSight TBS 6985 DVBS/S2 frontend)...
[ 4084.332962] DVB: adapter 0 frontend 0 frequency 2355000 out of range (950000..2150000)
[ 4103.620427] DVB: adapter 0 frontend 0 frequency 2355000 out of range (950000..2150000)
[ 4243.155826] DVB: adapter 0 frontend 0 frequency 2355000 out of range (950000..2150000)
what could be the problem. Maybe a bad driver install? its working fine in windows but with the linux drivers i cant get any kaffeine work either?

Please help.

Have you scanned the muxes for services before trying to map to channels?

Yes i tried to scan but it doesnt find any channels. I use a standard lnb and also i use a diseqc 2.0 switch. diseqc port 2 is 110 diseqc port 3 119.

So, did you eventually find out that using the "Standard" LNB was the mistake? A bunch of services show up in my scan once I use "Circular 10750" LNB.
