Possibility to skip PID ?

Added by Tomas Matejicek almost 11 years ago

Is it possible to exclude any particular PID from satellite recording?

I'm recording a channel, which has two audio streams (one is MP2 format and one is AC3 format).
I do not want AC3 sound. My video player can't play it anyway. Is it possible to exclude AC3 format so it is not stored on disk (or so it is completely ignored at all)?

I can see that the AC3 audio has PID 2883.
Should I just go to /home/hts/tvheadend/dvbtransports/* and find the particular configuration file for the channel and remove the "stream" section with PID 2883?

I would prefer to do that in tvheadend web UI.

Thank you for kicking me in the right direction.
Using HTS Tvheadend 3.4.27~gfbda802~wheezy

There is currently no stream filtering capability, so you'd have to do post processing to strip unwanted streams.
