unstable 3.9.355 breaks for me with "no transponder available"...
Added by Rachel Greenham almost 11 years ago
As above; I use the unstable repo. Routine upgrade today to 3.9.355~gb1cc474, subsequently trying to switch to any channel (from xbmc-pvr hts addon) just fails with the "No transponder available" error. Multiple restarts/resets attempted, both of tvheadend and xbmc, to no avail.
Reverting to previous version, 3.9.318~gd9dd70b, brings everything back to life.
System is Ubuntu Saucy 13.10 amd64, with a Hauppage wintv nova, showing up in lspci as:
09:01.0 Multimedia video controller: Conexant Systems, Inc. CX23880/1/2/3 PCI Video and Audio Decoder (rev 05) 09:01.1 Multimedia controller: Conexant Systems, Inc. CX23880/1/2/3 PCI Video and Audio Decoder [Audio Port] (rev 05) 09:01.2 Multimedia controller: Conexant Systems, Inc. CX23880/1/2/3 PCI Video and Audio Decoder [MPEG Port] (rev 05) 09:01.4 Multimedia controller: Conexant Systems, Inc. CX23880/1/2/3 PCI Video and Audio Decoder [IR Port] (rev 05)
Shows up in tvheadend under TV Adapters as "Conexant CX24116/CX24118 #0. It did show up in the 3.9.355 web ui too, it just seemed unwilling to use it for some reason.
We're not expecting that to suddenly stop working are we? :-)

Have you reconfigured your tuners? Recent changes break tuner config.

Sorry for delay while I acquired a round tuit...
Upgrade attempted today to 3.9.359~gf6450c3~saucy - Same problem. Looked again at web gui, and discovered the adapter's entry under "TV Adapters" had "Enabled" unchecked. Checked it (and also checked full mux RX and keep FE open for good measure though I only vaguely know what they're about) and it sprang back to life.
I expect that was the problem with 355 too and I just didn't see it. :-)
I had been worried I was going to have to redo everything again, tuning, channel mapping, numbering, iconing etc., and thus putting it off... :-}
