PVR Recording System Path
Added by Brian J Cook over 11 years ago
Hi,
I am playing with TVHeadend 3.4 on Rasbian with XBMC 12.2 and am trying to specify a NAS share as a Tvheadend Recording Path with little success. In XBMC/Skin/Settings/TV there is no way to set recording path. Browsing to ipaddr:9981 Confiruration/Recording/Recording System Path: I tried specifying: NFS://NASIP/share/folder but system creates: /home/pi/NV5YQU~M/ipaddr/share/folder/
Does it have to be local filesystem or can NFS: or SMB: be specified?
Can I use a NAS share by mounting it in the default file system?
I have read the Wiki and googled but haven't found a definative explanation of this in the wild.
Any pointers welcomed.
Regards

Mount the NAS export onto the tvheadend server so that system sees it as a local filesystem. You can then specify the full path in the tvh GUI.
I'm not aware of a way to say "this is a remote filesystem" (e.g. //a.b.c.d/export as you would in Windows, os some form of sshfs/gvfs in the command line). Easier just to mount it, I'd say.
