Scan of ASTRA network failes
Added by Bapak Ireng over 7 years ago
Hello,
I do have the following setup:
OCTOPUS Net including 2 SAT Tuners, both enabled, on both AA postion ASTRA Network defined,
If I hit force scan on the marked network ASTRA, i do receive in the MUXES Tab always FAILED in tab scan result.
I tried it may times unsuccessfully, I set up the whole configuration several times: No change for the scan result!
On the OCTOPUS NET i do NOT load any specific channel lists.
What happened and how to resolve the problem!
May thanks in advance for your support, help & contributions.
regards, Ireng

You need to give more details than what you have given so far.
- What are you entering per mux?
- What error in the tvheadend log do you see when a scan fails?
- try running tvheadend with --trace satip --debug satip --logfile /tmp/tvh.log and post it here, or attach it to a new issue.

Hi,
thank you for your advice!
It brought me to resolve some issues:
First of all I saw same access problem: the system could not create /home/user/.hts/tvheadend.
I changed the permissions to user:video for the directory /home/user and all subdirectories and files!
However in the beginning there is still an access problem.
At the moment the system scans the ASTRA networks, discovers abot 107 muxes and currently matches all available services.
log file currently is huge!

Hi Ireng,
Did you compile tvheadend specific for the Octopus Net as binary or do you use an arm device with tvheadend as satip client ?
I'm asking this because my dad has an Octopus Net, and i was curious to compile a tvheadend build for the Octopus Net, the situation right now is an cubox with debian + tvheadend as satip client to the Octopus Net.

Dave
