How setting time based recording
Added by c t over 9 years ago
Hello at all.
I want to set a recording in a defined time.
For my kids I have to record:
Channel SUPER RTL, Monday-Friday, from 06:30-07:30.
How Can I set it?
(At the momennt I create different "autorec" entries via epg and movie title but I think i will get a problem. In my dvr-configuration I set 1 minute pre-recording and 2 minutes after-recording. So I will get a conflict.)

It depends on the version you're using - later (3.9.anything) versions have a tab, Digital Video Recorder -> Time Schedules, that allows you to set this up.

Hi.
Thank you for your answer. I actually have/had version 3.4.28.
And I try to update. So first I "autoremove tvheadend" and followed the tutorial from:
https://tvheadend.org/projects/tvheadend/wiki/AptRepository
or
http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Tvheadend
but always "3.4.28" will be installed. I checked the "sources.list" for all sources but the content is only:
How can I install the actual version?

You need to either install from the unstable repository, or build from source.
The former is easier, in that it installs just like any other package. The downside is that it'll update every time a new change is made to the code, and that may break sometimes (as well as there being an update every few days, at least).
The latter is a little more complex, especially if you're not used to compiling code. The positive here, though, is that you can build a version that works for you and then stay with it.
