CWC delays with remote server

I use Tvheadend with Oscam providing the CWC. I use a remote cccam connection which Oscam is acting as a proxy for. As my internet connection is poor I find if I am watching/recording TV and I use the internet at te hsame time the delay in the ECM (700-1000 ms) causes a lot of pauses and glitches.

Is there a way to buffer the TV stream to allow longer for the ECM to be received?
