h2. Biography
Dave is the newest member of the team having recently been very active in #hts. Both with helping users with a variety of problems and also finding and fixing bugs for us.
He has an extensive background in DVB software having written several commonly used tools such as dvbstream, which is part of his "dvbtools":http://sourceforge.net/projects/dvbtools/ package.
He has recently embarked on writing a DVB client application specifically for the raspberry pi (with software MPEG2 support), "pidvbip":https://github.com/linuxstb/pidvbip. He was considering writing his own DVB backend when he stumbled upon Tvheadend. He has now created (or will have) a fully fledged [[HTSP]] client for pidvbip and we look forward to seeing how this progresses.
