startup in the middle of a recording

Description
I have the following feature request:
If tvheadend starts up in the middle of a programmed recording, record the remainder of the program.
If part of the program already has been recorded, don't throw anything away, but append to what already has been recorded.
Is this possible?
Hi,
I like the idea of a start after the start time has already passed. Especially with additional padding at the start there is a chance still everything can be recorded.
To append for me seems difficult in case you want a seamless recording. To have this the keyframe (I-Frame) has to be found which is matching the point where the previous record stopped.
Beside that a concatenation onto the previous recording should be no problem. The trick is that the software has to determine which is the previous recording. So i would offload this into a script where you have more control of the workflow and let tvheadend know what it’s good at.
