Abort recording does not update display

LibreElec 9.0.1 running on Raspberry Pi 3
Kodi 18.1
Tvheadend server 4.2.7-44
Tvheadend HTSP client 4.4.17.1

If I schedule a recording from the EPG then all works as expected. If I start an immediate recording from the EPG then the recording is made (the file size increases) but if I then try to stop the recording, although the file size stops increasing the red dot on the EPG is not removed and the notice on the TV page that says the program is being recorded stays in place. Even next day it is still there.

Any idea of what is happening would be very welcome as I am a new convert to this and not sure how to fix this.
