situated on disk or url also GZ compressed
multiple inputs re-downloaded via timer

(Note: I write the same message here here so that my opinion is taken into account)
Im agree, having to add a special file in /usr/bin/ for a simple file download (or load) is perhaps a bit excessive.
Not to mention using tvheadend as an addon in Kodi where things get complicated.
