Description

If a recording with the kodi addon will be stopped, the tvheadend server stops the recording but kodi doesn't get a feedback and still shows the recording as still in progress. Just a kodi restart solves the problem and the recording doesn't appear again.
Starting a recording works perfect. It's just the stop information within kodi.
I tried this just with new tvh installations. I heard from users with old configuarions that they don't have this issue.

This issue is also tracked on the kodi github:
https://github.com/kodi-pvr/pvr.hts/issues/299

There, rndmerle found it was a rights issue. There is a new "Failed view" flag in the Video recorder access rights (ae_failed_dvr in the sources), and it's unchecked by default when you carry over 4.0 config file. So the aborted recordings can't be read by the client.

I have added this access right to my 'kodi' user in TVHeadend, but haven't had a chance to test it yet.

I have now tried this out and can confirm it works.

thank you very much for you answer!!!
How can I add this access rights to my kodi user? can we inform the developer to enable this by default?

See the attached screenshot for where to add this access right:

I'm not sure whether the developers will enable this by default - but they should see this issue, and will make the decision.

It should be on by default IMO, especially if upgrading from 4.0.
