Bug #4450
Instant recording not working as expected
0%
Description
I have just upgraded from 4.1-327~g6e9f64c to 4.2.2. My user in 4.1 had:
"dvr": true, "htsp_dvr": true, "all_dvr": true, "all_rw_dvr": false, "failed_dvr": false, "dvr_config": [ ],
With that I had no trouble recording and re-playing instant recordings in Kodi (OSMC which is running TVH and Windoze).
With 4.2.2, I can start and stop a recording but can't view it after it has been stopped even though it stays in the recordings folder. Kodi thinks it is still recording when it isn't (recording icon still there and Kodi (OSMC) complains when I quit. After re-starting Kodi it disappears from the recordings folder.
If I turn on Failed view I get the same behaviour as I did with 4.1.
What has changed that makes Kodi behave like this and why is a recording deliberately stopped by the user regarded as 'failed' anyway?

How do you stop the recordings? From webui?
No, from Kodi.

Just to be clear, timed recordings work fine, as does an instant recording which is allowed to run to the end of the show.
