Bug #4359
MPEG/TS container and audio tracks: what's happening ?
0%
Description
Following this https://tvheadend.org/issues/4348
I concentrated on MPEG/TS container.
My problem is that using MPEG/TS pass stream profile, I was not able to see the different audio tracks from my Media Player (Dune)
So, I created a new profile (see attached), with MPEG-TS/lib and stating passthrough every time. Here is the result:
- the different audio tracks DO APPEAR in the Dune media player !!! (so the file created / container must be slightly different)
- the matter is that the video is not fluid any more, with a lot of jerking of the picture.
The MPEG/TS pass offers to me excellent picture quality, the only drawback is I can't see the audio tracks in the media player.
I tried, without success, to un-tick PMT/PAT/SDT/EIT but without success.
Could you provide any help with this ?
The result is near perfect, but I am struggling.
Regards
Alexandre

- Status changed from New to Invalid
We don't provide support for any player. The stream provided by the 'pass' profile is unchanged broadcasted stream. We check the functionality with Kodi, VLC, MPlayer and ffplay. Please, ask on the appropriate place (player support) or try another muxer - the matroska format does provide also same data as original MPEG-TS in just another container.

Same is situation with realtek players this is software problem.
Strange dvd images work without problem with multiple audio and subtitles.
When alternative software used is ok, or use stream filtering.
