Description

This afternoon I was recording a marathon, i.e. five episodes of the same program that were being broadcast back to back, when I noticed that the resulting recordings were not complete.

Here's the log so you get a better idea:

As you can see at 12:24:30 my recording is scheduled to start, however, for some reason this recording doesn't start writing to the disk till 12:25:00 (and no, this is not because the disk has to start up or anything like that). I just noticed that this happens to all my recordings. For these particular recordings I didn't set any extra time, but for some reason the extra 30 seconds at the start are not recorded as they were in previous versions of TVH.

The more annoying part is that when the recording finishes at 12:45:00 and the second one commences there is 0 overlap and as result I'm missing a few seconds. Because the episodes did not fit exactly in their timeslots and overlap in the different recordings there are seconds missing in the middle.

Please fix this.

Post the dvr trace (--trace dvr): https://tvheadend.org/projects/tvheadend/wiki/Traces

Also, there's difference between 'extra' pre/post time and 'warming' pre-time.

Also, check, if you have disabled 'EPG running status' in DVR config or in the channel config.

I've enabled the dvr trace in the debugging settings, but I suppose I'll need to record something to give you any data? Right now it's only checking if there's enough disk space.

I was only referring to warming pre-time, as the programs are broadcast back to back I'm not going to add another 5 minutes overlap as the 30 seconds would've been sufficient.

EPG running status is disabled, but this shouldn't matter as I use XMLTV for EPG data and it's not accurate.
